Our Meet The Inspiring Teaching Team series catches up with Eleanor from our Compliance team.
Getting to know you
What’s your name and role within Inspiring Teaching?
Hi I’m Eleanor Benke and I am a Compliance Officer at Inspiring Teaching.
How long have you worked with Inspiring Teaching?
I started working here in June 2024 so I have been here for five months so far. I haven’t worked in Compliance or Recruitment previously but I am really enjoying everything so far.
How would you sum up your job in one sentence?
This is a varied role with there’s lots to do and every day is different.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
I love getting the chance to speak with new people each day, including candidates and employers.
I've known Tilly for a few years so it’s really nice to work with her. There’s a great environment in the office and I get along with everyone on the team.
If you could learn anything instantly, what would it be?
I think having the ability to speak Spanish would be awesome.
I enjoy visiting Spain and it is a language that is spoken widely across the world.
Pineapple on a pizza?
Yeah, definitely.
A ham and pineapple pizza is up there as my choice of favourite pizza, along with a meat feast and margarita.
What would you choose as a go-to song to put you in a good mood?
I would have to say “Pipe down” by Drake is my current go-to song, but I love lots of Drake’s music.
You won’t find me listening to music when trying to concentrate while I work as I find it distracting.
What’s the most recent movie or series-binge that you’ve recommended?
I really enjoyed Emily in Paris on Netflix. I binge-watched all of it in three days. It’s definitely one that I have recommended to friends since I watched it.
Would you rather read a book, listen to an audiobook, or neither?
I prefer to read a book. I recently read “It Ends with Us” by Colleen Hoover which was brilliant.
It has since been turned into a film with Blake Lively that I also enjoyed. I feel that I understood the movie more having read the book.
I wouldn’t say that I’m an avid reader, but I normally read a book while relaxing on holiday.
What’s your dream holiday destination?
I’d definitely say Dubai is a dream destination of mine. A friend from college has recently moved there to work as a dance teacher so I would love to visit her and explore everything that Dubai has to offer.
