Getting to know you

What’s your name and role within Inspiring Teaching?

My name is Elle Stockings and I am a Recruitment Consultant.

How long have you worked with Inspiring Teaching?

I’ve been here for over three years now. The company has changed massively; when I joined, only four people were in the office.

How would you sum up your job in one sentence?

That’s a difficult one because my job is so varied. As an educational recruiter, I source, evaluate and place qualified candidates in academic institutions to ensure the best fit for both educators and schools.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

For me, it’s all about the people I work with. It’s so rewarding to work with someone who may not have much experience working in a school or lacks confidence, and the ability to help them get a job that they love and that really suits them.

If you could learn anything instantly, what would it be?

If I could learn anything instantly, it would be how to master every language fluently. That way, I could understand and communicate with anyone without barriers.

Pineapple on a pizza?

Personally, I’m a basic cheese and tomato topping on a thin crust base. I think it’s criminal to put pineapple on a pizza.

What would you choose as a go-to song to put you in a good mood?

I can’t think of any specific songs that stand out. I’m normally listening to random playlists when I’m at the gym or whatever is on the radio. Capital Extra is my go-to radio station.

What’s the most recent movie or series-binge that you’ve recommended?

I’m re-watching Modern Family again at the moment and I love this series as it’s so relatable.

Would you rather read a book, listen to an audiobook, or neither?

I would rather read a book over an audiobook. I used to read all the time, but struggle to find time for it now. I tried to read a book during my maternity leave and didn’t get far.

What’s your dream holiday destination?

I would love to visit Hawaii as it’s such a unique place with so much to explore and it always looks beautiful.
